Adliberator

Many studio professionals have all the normal tools necessary to get a session done well, and know their tools and use them to make a great mix. But almost any studio pro will also tell you that they can never have enough unique tools to create a "hook" in the mix that will elevate a track from a great track to a hit.

That is what the Freematik Adliberator is, it is not another delay, it is not another compressor, but it is actually an echo plugin with built-in ducking. The echoes get quieter when there is a signal coming in, so you can easily make loops that echo forever and still be able to add, or replace, sounds in it without turning the loop into a noisy mess. This gives you a unique effect similar to a delay line, but that can behave in interesting and useful ways.

It is named the Adliberator because it is well suited for "adlib" vocal parts, but it is equally suited for percussion or drum parts, electric guitar, synth lines, and anything else you want to try it on. It has a tempo sync feature which makes it easy to sync with your project, and also offers compressor controls such as sensitivity, attack, and decay. Check out the presets for an idea of what's possible!

The Adliberator is designed by Leif Ames, who is an independent designer and also a member of our team (read more on the Bios page). The graphics were designed by "Mully" from Betabugs Audio, and the basic GUI idea and some small adjustments were made by Freematik.
